Assessments

A deep dive into understanding your body and how it moves.

60 minute assessments online or in person

Who are my assessments for?

When it comes to aches, pains, pelvic health issues and limitations in movement, it’s easy to assume that the problem lies exactly where we feel discomfort. But our bodies are complex, and pain is often just a symptom, not the root cause.

If you’ve been experiencing recurrent issues or getting the same area treated over and over with manual therapy, only to feel temporary relief before the issue returns, it’s a sign that something deeper is going on. Similarly, the pelvic floor may be where problems are manifesting, but from my experience this is never a pelvic floor issue in isolation.  No amount of adjustments, internal release, kegels can resolve a problem if we don't address what's driving it in the first place.

Instead of chasing symptoms, we need to zoom out and take a whole-body perspective.

What are you doing, perhaps without even realising it, every single day that’s reinforcing certain postures or movement patterns, leading to those recurring aches and pains?

Your body is smart. If it can’t move well in one area, it’ll compensate somewhere else. That’s when things start to feel “off,” imbalanced, or uncomfortable.

The good news is, once we uncover the root of the issue, we can change it. You’ll be equipped with the tools and strategies to practice at home, giving you the power to take control and create lasting change in your body.

What You’ll Gain From Your Assessment

Your assessment is more than just a starting point, it’s a deep dive into understanding your body and how it moves. Here’s what you’ll walk away with:

Powerful Insights Into Your Body

A Smarter Way to Move

Learn what you can start doing differently, right now, to support your body more effectively. These insights will help you get more out of your everyday movement and your training sessions.

Practical Strategies for Real Change

You’ll gain tools to help:

  • Make movement feel easier and more fluid

  • Manage pressure and tension more effectively (especially for symptoms like prolapse, leaking, or pelvic floor tightness)

  • Improve your range of motion

  • Build strength where your body needs it most

Clarity on How Your Body Is Coping

Understand how your body is currently managing the demands of daily life and why it might be compensating in certain ways. You’ll leave feeling reassured, with a clear plan tailored to meet your unique needs.

What to Expect During Your Assessment

Your first session is all about understanding you, your body, your history, and your goals.

  • We’ll start with a detailed conversation about your health and movement background. This helps me understand your current concerns, what you’ve tried before, and what you’re hoping to achieve moving forward.

  • Next, we’ll go through a complete movement assessment. This includes simple movements in lying, sitting, and standing positions, nothing strenuous or intimidating! Throughout this process, I’ll take photos (with your permission) to capture how your body holds itself and moves.

  • We’ll review these images together during the session. I’ll explain what I’m seeing, why it matters, and how it may be contributing to the discomfort or imbalances you’re experiencing. This helps you connect the dots between how your body is moving and how it's feeling.

  • With the time we have left, we’ll begin working through specific exercises tailored to your body, movements I believe will create the most impact right away. The goal is to start restoring balance, improve alignment, and reduce strain within the session.

You’ll leave with a deeper understanding of what’s going on, why it’s happening, and a clear path forward.

  • A clear summary outlining what we discovered during the assessment, including key observations, patterns, and what we’ll be focusing on to create change.
